Trademark Classification

classification of goods and services

Trademark is a sign that can be displayed graphically in the form of images, logos, names, words, letters, numbers, color arrangements, in the form of 2 (two) dimensions and/or 3 (three) dimensions, sound, holograms, or a combination of 2 (two) or more of these elements to distinguish goods and/or services produced by persons or legal entities in the trading activities of goods and/or services.

The use of trademarks serves as:
1. An identifying mark to distinguish the production produced by a person or several persons jointly or a legal entity with the production of other persons or other legal entities.
2. Promotional tools, so as to promote their products simply by mentioning the trademark.
3. Guarantee of the quality of the goods.
4. An indication of the origin of the goods/services produced.

This tool is intended for trademark attorneys, business owners, and regulatory authorities involved in trademark registration, market analysis, and legal compliance. The information in the Classification of Goods and Services is typically needed during the filing of trademark applications, preparation of business plans, and when ensuring compliance with trade regulations. This data should be utilized by intellectual property offices, legal firms, and business registration entities to accurately classify goods and services, facilitate trademark protection, and support efficient market operations. By offering a structured and universally accepted system, the tool promotes clarity and consistency in commercial and legal activities.
